Milly Dabrowski BA BHSc (TCM) Hons MAACMA

Milly is a registered Acupuncturist and Co-Director of Fertile Ground Health Group. She has twelve years experience as a body worker, and seven years as an Acupuncturist. Milly is a highly intuitive practitioner with a gift for truly understanding her patients’ needs.

Milly has extensive experience working with issues affecting the menstrual cycle, fertility, and pregnancy and to this end has undertaken additional studies relating to pregnancy and birth preparation. Milly is also an experienced birth attendant having supported women and their partners in hospital, birth centre and home birth settings.

Using Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, Milly is achieving successful outcomes for women and their partners through IVF support, pre-conception and pregnancy care, and birth preparation. In this area of specialisation, a range of general health issues can also be supported for both women and men, including digestive and sleep issues, musculo-skeletal problems, stress and anxiety and much more.

Milly’s unique and gentle style of acupuncture enables even the most fearful person to experience the benefits of acupuncture.

Charmaine Dennis BHSc (Nat) Cert Rem Mass MNHAA

Charmaine Dennis is Co-Director of Fertile Ground Health Group and a highly qualified Naturopath. She has completed post-graduate study with Francesca Naish in both Preconception Care and Better Babies programs as well as birth attendant training with Rhea Dempsey and Penny Simpkin. Charmaine is also a mother of a very lovely and healthy young boy.

She has a special interest in infertility, preconception care and working with women in their pregnancy, birth preparation, labour and birth as well as post-natal health. She is an experienced paediatric practitioner and treats a range of health issues in babies and children.

Charmaine has assisted many couples in realising their dreams to conceive healthy beautiful babies. She has experience working with couples who have suffered recurrent miscarriages, repeated malformations, and unexplained infertility as well as “older” couples trying to conceive. She has helped many women overcome infertility issues such as PCOS and endometriosis, helping them conceive naturally, as well as improving all parameters of sperm health in men.  Charmaine also assists couples going through IVF, to give them the best possible chance of conceiving as well as preserving their physical and emotional health through the process.

Charmaine gives you a unique combination of credible, practical information and sensitive, emotional support. She is committed to helping you explore the healthiest options for you and your children.

She is also an experienced birth attendant and has worked with labouring women and their partners in hospital, birth centre and home birth settings. Charmaine provides experienced support and guidance throughout your labour, with emotional and physical support (including massage) as well as naturopathic support (including birth remedies, homoeopathics, etc.).

Margaret Morris has completed a Masters Degree in Acupuncture and a Bachelor
Degree in Naturopathy following her work in the healthcare field as a nurse and midwife. She recognised the need for a holistic approach to recovery from illness and maintenance of health and has developed an impressive range of skills in support of her practice. Her further studies include a Graduate Diploma in Women's Health and an Advanced certificate in Natural Fertility Management.  She is currently undertaking her Masters of Applied Science in Chinese Herbal Medicine at RMIT.

Margaret is very experienced in the area of family and women's health.
She has extensive experience in fertility and pregnancy care, regularly treating patients through preconception care, pregnancy, birth preparation and on into post-natal health and infant care. Margaret has a particular interest in fertility (preconception care for couples, problems affecting male and female fertility and IVF support) and also children's health. She has great success working with children of all ages.

Margaret uses food as medicine in conjunction with herbal medicine,
homoeopathy, nutritional supplements and flower essences in response to the individual's health issues. She has incorporated Acupuncture as it brings an effective physical and energetic therapy to her wellness practice.

Margaret's broad knowledge, training and experience enables her to provide her patients with a unique perspective on their health and an up-to-date and sensitive approach to their needs. It is her goal to establish an ongoing relationship with families to enable them to achieve health and well being for life.

Gina Fox BA (Hons) BHSc (Nat) ATMS

Gina Fox is a qualified Naturopath with a degree in Naturopathy, and a Diploma of Nutrition and Herbal Medicine. She also studied under Francesca Naish to gain an Advanced certificate in Natural Fertility Management. She has specialised for the past eight years in providing naturopathy for women’s health issues, pre-conception health and fertility, IVF support and pregnancy care. Her fertility experience covers a wide range of issues including recurrent miscarriage, auto-immune antibodies and she has seen good results with improving sperm quality. As well as treating clients for conception issues Gina enjoys treating mother and baby after the birth.

Her work assists clients in improving their overall health in order to gain better hormonal balance and fertility. This may mean working with a wide range of health issues including allergies, stress related conditions, digestive issues, auto-immune conditions, lowered immunity, skin complaints and fatigue. Addressing specific issues and achieving optimum health is an excellent way to support people to achieve better hormonal balance and improve fertility. She has helped many women achieve healthy full-term pregnancies and supported couples through IVF.

There is some evidence to show that stress can have a negative effect on fertility. Gina has a special interest in this area and she has attended a number of meditation and mindfulness courses which help to counteract stress. She can offer this integrated mind-body approach to fertility where clients have a particular need and she offers practical beginners meditation courses which are regularly held at Fertile Ground.

Gina is a passionate researcher and continues her professional development through regular attendance at medical, nutritional and herbal seminars to keep up to date with the latest research available within the women’s health and fertility arena. This includes practitioner study days with Foresight the organisation in the UK that first began pre-conception health programs. She is also contributing to the 3rd edition of a leading evidence based text book on herbs and supplements.

Nerida Moorhouse  BHSc Nat, NHAA Member

Nerida Moorhouse is a highly qualified Naturopath completing post-graduate study with Francesca Naish in Preconception Care and Better Babies. She has successfully practiced this specialty for 10 years.

Enhancing fertility with natural therapies is Nerida's passion. Using a sensible and manageable approach to diet, lifestyle and any nutritional deficiencies makes it easy for women and their partners to achieve improved health and vitality.

Nerida is very experienced in assisting women with complex issues like recurrent miscarriage, thyroid disorders, and early menopause. She also successfully treats many couples who have poor vitality, and suffer poor libido, which is very common after months or years trying to become pregnant.

Nerida has found that treating foundation health issues can open up options for couples to access IVF, when they have previously been excluded. She finds that ongoing support during IVF treatment can increase chances of conception, and a healthy pregnancy.

Nerida has a strong belief in professional development, regularly attending medical, fertility, nutritional and herbal medicine seminars to enhance her understanding of what is best for her clients based on current research.

Kathryn Johns BAppSc (Clinical Sc) BOsteoSc, MAOA
Osteopath

Kathryn is an RMIT university graduate and has trained as a Pilates instructor specializing in pre- and post-natal exercise. Kathryn has a passion for women and children’s health and has spent the last 5 years treating and broadening her knowledge within this area.

Additional training Kathryn has completed range from obstetric and gynaecological involving specific techniques to assist the pelvic floor, uterus and ovaries, to cranial sacral techniques which enable the safe and gentle treatment of infants and children as well as adults.

Kathryn has worked alongside midwives helping to educate women on the importance of pelvic floor dysfunction and informing women about exercises that are safe pre- and post-natally. This is especially important if you have had pelvic instability, pelvic floor weakness or separation of the rectus abdominus.

Kathryn is fully qualified to develop a specific program ranging from Pilates, core stability and pelvic floor exercises to cardiovascular and gym programs, assisting you in management of your pain or discomfort during or after pregnancy and helping to get your pre-pregnancy body and strength back.

Kathryn also assesses and treats babies and children for a variety of issues. Babies may be irritable, constipated, sleeping poorly, not turning their heads or opening their mouths properly, etc. Any one of these issues could have a physiological basis treatable with gentle osteopathic techniques.

In addition to working in the women’s health field, Kathryn has also had the opportunity to work with men and women’s elite sporting teams including basketball, rowing and water polo and in general practice. These experiences give Kathryn a broad knowledge of the treatment of sporting injuries, sciatic pain, headaches and repetitive stress injuries - incorporating osteopathic technique and specific rehabilitation exercises to assist in a fast and safe recovery.

Sarah Hand BAppSc (Clinical Sc) BOsteoSc, MAOA
Osteopath

Sarah is a registered osteopath graduating from RMIT University 2002 with a double degree in Science and Osteopathic Science.

After graduating Sarah chose to travel extensively through Europe, the UK and Canada for 3 years honing her craft and obtaining as much experience as possible.  During this time she developed skills in working with children, families and a variety of athletic teams.

Sarah is passionate about osteopathy and in addition to being able to treat many common complaints such as lower back pain, headaches, sciatic pain and sporting injuries she has a particular interest in the ways osteopathy can help to improve women's health.

To this end, Sarah has undertaken further research and study to develop her understanding of the issues and associated symptoms of dysmenorrhea, pelvic floor dysfunction, PCO and PCOS as well as pregnancy and childbirth.  She particularly enjoys assisting women to experience as comfortable a pregnancy as possible by helping the body to accommodate for postural, biochemical and weight changes.

Sarah has a great understanding of the physiology of childbirth which makes her a great resource for women aiming for a natural birth, but also for women who have experienced complications during or after labour. 

She compassionately and gently treats both mothers and babies and is able to assess and treat babies and children for wide variety of common ailments including: reflux and digestive issues, wry neck, feeding and attachment problems, colic, sleep issues and much more.

Sarah employs an extremely gentle hands-on approach to treatment, coupled with discussion and advice to help patients manage their health in an ongoing way.  Sarah’s goal is to help patients discover new strengths, increase confidence and prevent recurring issues.

Jacinta Nash BHSc (Acu) MAACMA
Registered Acupuncturist
 

Jacinta Nash is a qualified and experienced Acupuncturist practicing specifically in the areas of fertility, pregnancy, birth preparation and post-natal care. She received her qualifications from the Australian College of Natural Medicine and also has experience in the fields of Reiki, Feng Shui, and Geomancy.

Her work is informed by a deep interest in spiritual development and in educating her clients. A primary goal of her work is to empower women to take control over their own bodies and birth experience. To this end Jacinta has undertaken additional studies at the Centre for Human Transformation and with her interest in quality birth support and education for pregnant women, she looks to undertake further studies in this area.

She has extensive experience in women’s health. At Fertile Ground her particular focus is on unexplained infertility and the treatment of long term, stubborn conditions such as PCOS and endometriosis.

Jacinta has a gentle and sensitive approach to her treatments and is committed to helping her patients achieve their health goals and support them in ongoing wellness.
