COVID SAFETY UPDATE
As an allied and collaborative health clinic, our commitment to COVIDSafety remains paramount for the health and wellbeing of our staff, practitioners and patient community.
In line with the Victorian Roadmap, we will continue to follow Government Direction to keep our community healthy as it pertains to social distancing, sanitisation and hygiene measures, square metre capacity rules and vaccination status.
All of our onsite staff and practitioners are vaccinated as per the current mandates.
In person appointments are available for all physical therapies without restriction from Midnight Thursday 21st October. This includes Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Osteopathy and Massage.
The acupuncture multi-bed is not available until further notice however we are continuing to offer multi-bed style 45 minute appointments in an individual room.
To continue to minimise numbers of people in our clinic:
We will continue to see patients via Telehealth only for all Naturopathic, Counselling, Birth preparation/debriefing appointments until further notice.
Chinese Herbal medicine is also available by Telehealth if needed.
We will continue Click and Collect for all prescriptions in The Melbourne Apothecary until further notice. Collect your medicines Monday to Friday 8.30am-6pm, or Saturday 8.30am – 3.30pm or by arrangement for other times.
What to expect on your next visit
Check Exposure Sites Before Arrival: In line with Victorian Government advice, we request that our entire community stays informed of current exposure sites and follows public health advice.
Waiting outside until the time of your appointment: Please remain outside of the practice (in your car etc) until the time of your appointment. Enter the practice at the time of your appointment and you’ll be shown to the appropriate waiting room. There is no need to call us prior to entry into the practice if you have an appointment.
QR Code Check in: please scan the QR code on your device and register your contact details, as required by the Department of Health and Human Services Victoria and to assist with contact tracing.
Temperature Checks: Upon arrival you will be required to use hand sanitiser and have your temperature checked as part of our onsite COVID-19 safety measures. Anyone presenting with a high temperature will be asked to reschedule their visit.
Voluntary disclosure of vaccination status: you will be asked to volunteer your vaccination status and consent to our reception team or your practitioner recording this into your medical file, however you do not need to disclose if you feel uncomfortable to do so.
Face Masks: Masks are required inside, so please make sure you have one with you on your next visit as you will be required to wear it inside the apothecary, waiting room and during your appointment. Please discuss any concerns with your practitioner.
Social Distancing: You will be asked to maintain social distancing throughout your visit, keeping 1.5 metres from other patients and staff. Close contact will be required with your practitioner and all protection and safety measures adhered to.
