Biography
Holly is a qualified Acupuncturist & Naturopath with many years of experience in her own clinical practice. After completing a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy and a Masters degree in Acupuncture through RMIT, Holly aims to bridge the gap between Traditional Chinese Medicine and evidence-based practice.
Holly’s first experience with Chinese Medicine was in student clinic at Southern School of Natural Therapies (SSNT) while still studying Naturopathy. The treatments were so effective that she devised a plan to continue her learning after a few years experience of clinical practice. Upon completion of her masters degree in acupuncture it became clear there was the ability to apply a naturopathically informed style of Chinese Medicine treatments. Holly has found this to further support positive client outcomes.
A consultation with Holly incorporates the use of thorough case history taking, with discussion of appropriate pathology testing, and physical examination where applicable. Appointments may also involve acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion (heat therapy), and motor point therapy for musculoskeletal conditions. Holly also uses nutritional analysis, western herbal medicine, and lifestyle counselling in order to create tailored programs to suit the individual needs of each client.
As well as fertility and hormonal management, Holly has extensive experience in resolving allergies and frustrating skin conditions. By investigating the underlying causes alongside specific acupuncture techniques, Holly has explored many approaches in assisting the resolution of these conditions and enjoys the often rewarding journey to recovery.
