Biography

Effie Psarakis is a double degree qualified and experienced acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist specialising in reproductive acupuncture, sexual and menstrual health, IVF and natural fertility, pregnancy, birth and post-partum care.  Effie also holds a deep passion for supporting people managing chronic illness, pain, mental health and emotional trauma.

Effie’s journey with Chinese medicine began in her mid-20’s when she sought treatment for Bell’s Palsy. This initial encounter sparked an interest that would later become a lifelong pursuit, but it wasn’t until she experienced the transformative effect of acupuncture just before the birth of her baby, that she decided to dedicate herself fully to the study and practice of Chinese medicine.

Effie’s approach is warm, gentle, grounded and holistic. Her practice focuses on providing a safe and supportive environment where patients can feel held, heard and supported as they work together to gain insights into the root of their imbalances and making the necessary shifts towards systemic change.

Driven by a deep commitment to improving the health and well-being of others, Effie integrates extensive training and personal insights to provide compassionate and effective health care whether addressing women’s health issues, aiding people on their fertility journey, or managing chronic conditions and mental health challenges.
