Traditionally in Chinese Medicine, the goal was to help people stay well rather than waiting until illness developed. This philosophy still influences the way many Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners approach care today – supporting overall balance and wellbeing while also addressing current health concerns.
Our practitioners may incorporate acupuncture, cupping, moxa, Chinese herbal medicine and lifestyle support depending on your individual needs and goals.
Our acupuncturists may incorporate a range of Traditional Chinese Medicine approaches depending on your individual presentation and goals. This may include acupuncture using fine, sterile, single-use needles, alongside techniques such as cupping, moxibustion and Chinese herbal medicine where appropriate.
While many people associate acupuncture with musculoskeletal support and physical discomfort, Traditional Chinese Medicine has a long history of use across many areas of health and wellbeing. People often seek acupuncture and Chinese Medicine support for areas including stress, sleep, digestion, reproductive health, menstrual health, pregnancy support and general wellbeing.
Many people choose to include acupuncture as part of their broader fertility, IVF and pregnancy care alongside support from their GP, fertility specialist, obstetrician or other healthcare providers.
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine offer a supportive, holistic approach to health and wellbeing. To learn more or book an appointment with one of our practitioners, contact our Fitzroy, Melbourne clinic.
Our acupuncturists have a double degree in health science for acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine along with many years of postgraduate study and experience in the field. Many doctors practice and advocate acupuncture and other traditional Chinese medicine, and we have active referral relationships with many GPs, midwives, fertility specialists, obstetricians and other specialist doctors.
With Chinese medicine and acupuncture, healing time can vary from person to person. Responses to acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can vary from person to person depending on individual circumstances, symptoms and overall health. Some people notice changes quickly, while others may benefit from more ongoing support over time.

Our traditional Chinese medicine practitioners will evaluate your tongue, wrist pulse, abdominal pain, breathing and other physical presentations. Please do not scrape or clean your tongue before your appointment. They will also inquire about your health history such as current and historical pain, sleep, energy levels and other symptoms as well as your diet. You do not need to prepare information about this – your practitioner will guide you. We will send you a brief form prior to your first appointment so you can detail what you are coming in for and hoping to achieve from your treatment. Please bring any relevant medical blood test results, pathology reports or letters from your GP or specialist doctor.
