Up to 85% of people experience some vomiting and/or nausea in pregnancy, ranging from mild morning sickness in the first trimester to severe vomiting at any time of the day, sometimes lasting until birth. Symptoms include food aversions, smell sensitivities and digestive upsets (bloating, diarrhoea or constipation).
Nausea in pregnancy may be less likely if health issues such as hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar), liver and digestive function, food sensitivities and nutritional status are addressed appropriately before conception.
However, if you are already pregnant, there is much that can be done to help naturally alleviate nausea in pregnancy. Usually we find that you may need to try a variety of different options before finding the one that works best for you. If you try something and it doesn’t work, keep trying other things or try the same thing at a different time, try more or less of it, combine it with another remedy, try it again later, but persist!
At Fertile Ground we love caring for you throughout your pregnancy journey. We have an incredible team of experts ready to help at every stage of your journey and there are many ways each of our therapies can help to alleviate pregnancy nausea.
Warmly,
Carly Woods & Charmaine Dennis
